Gladiator Rising

Gladiator Rising is a roguelike that includes a turn-based combat system and puts you in control of a gladiator. Your objective, at the beginning, is just to survive your day-to-day; but as you start advancing, your mission will be to become the strongest gladiator in the coliseum.

The first thing you have to do is to create your gladiator. You can pick from three different types: warrior, thief or wizard. You can also customize your character’s appearance and divide your attribute points as you please.

Once you’ve started the game, you have to participate in combats to earn experience and money. The experience helps you move up to the next level and improve your characteristics whilst the money lets you buy new weapons and armor. Keep in mind that having good armor is super important, otherwise, your character could die and you’d have to start all over again with a new gladiator.

The gameplay is relatively simple, but it does require a good dosage of strategy. You’ll have to use your skills throughout the game (each skill uses up a certain amount of energy points). Also bear in mind that this energy system won’t let you attack non-stop.

Gladiator Rising is a super unique and entertaining roguelike that offers a really fun gameplay and a huge range of enemies and situations. The retro visuals also go hand-in-hand with the game.
